Literary Ink Weekend

[I had this long post all typed out and the dang thing got deleted. Long story short then I guess because now I can’t remember what I had typed out (new blogger problems).]

Literary Ink weekend was a combination of all the things I love. Tattoos, Harry Potter, and friendship. I could not have asked for a better weekend, seriously. The compassion towards others and the excitement was contagious and I left feeling refreshed and inspired. Thank you so much to Main Line Ink in Chattanooga and also to Griffin Salve for putting on an amazing weekend filled with love and passion. I can’t wait till YEAR TWO!

Ali Graduation

Last month I headed to Starkville, MS to shoot this session for my very good friend, Ali. It was a beautiful day as we headed to Mississippi State campus to shoot her grad photos. The campus, however, was swarmed with people as it was game day. I had never been on campus when it was a game day and let me tell you.. it was AMAZING. The energy from all of the people was just contagious. I personally don’t watch much football but I do know that I am a State fan so I felt like I was getting a real treat being around all that energy and happiness. We avoided most of the crowds as we went from beautiful building to the next capturing the gorgeous light that was on that day.

I am truly honored to take these photos for Ali as she graduated with an engineering degree. I know all the nights she spent studying and all the times she spent stressing over it are well worth it now! With this girl, I know that anything is possible and that she can conquer anything she sets her mind on. I love you Ali!! Thank you for letting me capture yet another amazing moment in your life 😀

My first blog post!

Hey there!! This is so exciting!! I’ve always wanted to started a blog of some sort for my little photography business but never have had the courage to do anything but good ol’ Facebook and Insta (which there are links in the homepage btw). I decided it was time to put my fears aside and start this blog about recent photoshoots I’ve done, thoughts I have, basically anything. I want this page to be personal and I don’t want to hold anything back. Even if no one reads or looks at anything I post, I started this for me. I do however, hope you enjoy this journey with me!!

The first session I’m sharing with you guys is one from last month back home where I’m from in MS. Azha and Josh are two of my dearest friends. I’ve known Josh for around 10 years and he’s amazing. We’ve been through a lot together and he’s always been like a brother to me, taking care of me! Azha I’ve known for around 6 or 7 years and I met her because she started out just my tattoo artist, but became one of the most important people in my life. She’s an amazing person inside and out, she just screams kindness and joy. I love her to death and love when we get together to talk about art making and random things. She’s the main reason why I continue to make art, she inspires me (and she’s a kickass tattoo artist, you should totally look her up).

Anyway, Azha and Josh wanted some Christmas card photos done and the shoot was AHMAZING. Perfect light, perfect location. It’s the type of setting that photographers dream of and to have some of the best people to photograph too? Ughhhh I was dying with excitement the whole time. So I’m happy to share with you some of my favorite images from the shoot! Enjoy 😀
